MUSIC AND SOUND FOR ANIMATION: FLUSH STUDIOS

It's my pleasure to partner with Josh Stifter & co. over at Flush Studios, creating music and sound design for some delightfully ridiculous cartoons and puppet shows. Be advised that this material is NSFW/ not suitable for kids, but I can confirm that it's been a lot of fun to work on.

An arcade game called Kublicle Kombat, a Necronomicon-esque how-to manual, an owl, a pigeon, a talking pumpkin, and... whatever that other thing is... Behold, Episode 1 of Flush Studios' "The Simpletons":

I wrote all of the music in the above episode, created the sound design, and provided the in-game announcer and character voices for Kublicle Kombat.

The short animation below addresses an age-old question: why, in fact, DID the chicken cross the road? Find out here:

On the above I performed and recorded all the male voices, created the sound design, wrote all the music, and mixed the finished product.

Below: The Brownstaine Bears try to figure out why Panda's guitar sounds so terrible.

On the above I wrote the theme music and score, provided the voice of Jacko, created the sound design, and provided final mix.

Below: here's the debut of Flush Studios' latest season, "New Year's":

My contribution on the above is mostly sound design and mix. Josh recorded the VO at his place (he's both voices; one of them is slowed down slightly). I provided a variety of sound effects, relying heavily on assorted fruit and vegetable squishes for the blood and gore. My only musical contributions are a couple of small atonal cues: the string glissando at about :36 and the sinister synth when the blood drips down the screen around :52. All of the other music is canned stuff from a pre-existing library.

Here's the pilot for a series called "Schlubs"; I once again created all the sound design and music (except the brief credits music at the end, which is library). Enjoy!

Below: sound design for a brief one-off called "Pumps". Short and sweet!
