SILENT NIGHT
(SHEPHERDS QUAKE)
[ Dark Winter : 2007 ]

A twenty-minute piece derived entirely from a brief recording of a music box playing "Silent Night". The machine winds down; it creaks and grinds and eventually the audio is overtaken by scrambled reiterations of itself; it stretches and slows, speeds and warps, chimes and clangs, sprinkles, stutters, sputters, and melts, till eventually all that's left is a glassy ghost of its former self.
