Above: Another highlight reel peeling away the various layers of Junior Birdman Audio’s ADR (performed by Molly Ryman), Foley, FX, backgrounds and final mix (including an original score by David Gerald Sutton) of a brief passage from Justin Staggs‘ horror/ fantasy short “Elixir”. Breaking this sequence down to its source stems demonstrates how much phrasing can go into even a few seconds of sound design for film. View “Elixir” in its entirety: https://vimeo.com/172981354
One of the new pieces of original music I’ve been developing for After the Gunflint, a wilderness survival film directed by JD O'Brien. The creative brief: “deconstructed bluegrass”. It’ll probably be deconstructed a lot further from this point, but we like where it’s going so far.
