A recent audio document of winter destruction. The other night, while raking snow off the roof, I took the opportunity to knock off some of the gargantuan icicles flourishing there, with pleasingly cacophonous results. Edited from a somewhat longer session. No EQ or dynamics processing applied.
According to this story on NPR’s web site, a recent sound installation by Namibian-German artist Max Siedentopf— mounted in an unspecified part of the coastal Namib desert— plays the Toto song “Africa” on repeat “for all eternity”. And why not?
