WORK IN PROGRESS: PASTORAL
An in-progress piece of original music that I think is coming along well. Revisions will include more drum fills, plus more dramatic strings toward the end.

As a proud associate of the Museum of Portable Sound, I applaud Associated Press’ decision to tap the Museum’s director John Kannenberg as an expert witness for its recent feature on the 40th anniversary of the Sony Walkman. AP interviewed Kannenberg in front of Abbey Road Studios, and even shot footage of him traversing the famed crosswalk!
Here’s the original interview, preceded by some B-roll:
Below, a resulting news item in French:
Here’s one in Portuguese:
And one in Russian, in which Kannenberg becomes the wordless Agent of Walkman:
Congrats John!
Last night I enjoyed seeing Josh Stifter and Dan Degnan give a talk on their indie filmmaking exploits. The event was organized by Nice Moves and hosted by MTN.
Stifter and Degnan have made movies together when they were kids, and have recently collaborated on a couple of feature films— the in-progress “Greywood’s Plot”, and “The Good Exorcist”, which was executed as part of Robert Rodriguez’s “Rebel Without A Crew” reality show. They said working on “Rebel” was a chance to further their guerilla aesthetic, which has fueled a prolific output through the years and shows no signs of letting up.
